Moving day is always exciting. Today it was time to move the large reception desk from our shop to the MultiCam office. The desk was large - very large. It had to fit down a narrow sidewalk and then trough a double set of doors - easy
in theory. The reality is that a 10” high curb meant we would have to do it with the piece well off the ground. I had willing labor to help.
The contractor was worried about us scratching the shiny new building. I was worried about scratching our shiny new desk. The combination proved to be magic. With the help of a forklift, a pallet jack and two car jacks we wrestled the heavy desk into place and all was well.
The biggest challenge was to get everyone pulling and pushing in the same direction.
The wires were threaded, and the large lamps lifted into place. Amazingly, it all fit like it was planned for that very spot. Shortly after we were done the cabinet guy, Dave arrived to take measurements for the desk tops.
We saved the last coats of paint until it was in place... just in case.
