The first base coats are now on the little feature that will be presented to Coastal Enterprises for display at the International Sign Association EXPO at the end of March 2027. Coastal Enterprises, makers of Precision Board, has been a long-time supporter of the Sign Invitational. Over the next week, I hope to finish this piece. There is still plenty of time for others to enter the competition. The rules are simple. Design and fabricate a dinosaur-themed, double-sided blade sign. We would love to have more entries. Just let me know you are interested.
Cool dino
Harmless practical jokes are common in our shop, and the crew get pretty inventive in their efforts. When I was in Nebraska, Jay decided one of my dino signs needed some pupils in its eyes. He pasted on two tape circles and placed them at a wonky angle. It made me laugh when I walked into the shop when I got back from Nebraska. This weekend, I went back into the shop to get my bike for an adventure along the river. The little dino was now sporting some dark safety glasses. Once again I had to laugh at our crew’s hijinks.
Coastal Enterprises dino
Today, I finally got the chance to sculpt the little dino perched on top of the Coastal Enterprises sign. Coastal Enterprises, the maker of Precision Board, has been a longtime sponsor and supporter of the Sign Invitational. He’s going to look great all painted up! Stay tuned…
