Tonight I was able to sneak out to the shop for a couple of hours of work on the mechanical fish project. I needed time to sort out the events of the past week and just let my head catch up on things. Working with my hands allows me to do just that. Tonight's project was to finish the rockwork on the second pillar of the dock. This leaves the bottom portion of the rock base to do yet - which won't take very long at all.
I've been itching to add the barnacles on the bottom molding since I installed it some weeks ago and tonight I could resist no longer. They added instant character to the piece. A couple of star fish are yet to come.
A couple more hours of sculpting will make the piece ready for paint. Stay tuned...
