This giant invisible pumpkin is nearly ready for its concrete skin.
We’ve carved a lot of pumpkins over the years (and a LOT of concrete) but I don’t think we have carved too many concrete pumpkins. That is soon to change however, because the monster gourd on the back of this pickup is next on the menu.
Under construction for more than four years, the new Cider Mill area of Vala’s Pumpkin Patch will open to the public in a few short weeks. Imagination Corporation has been designing and fabricating various projects for the ‘land’ for three years. This information sign is one of the many features which will greet and inform guests as they enter. The rusty steel panel will hold notices (held in place with magnets) of each day’s activities, entertainment and apples which are currently ready for picking.
All of the pieces we created for the Stefan’s Country Drive attraction are now in place. The Vala’s Pumpkin Patch crews are going to be busy in a last minute scramble to get everything ready for the fall season that begins in a couple of weeks. This attraction is part of a whole new area of the farm. Although there is much still to be finished, the Cider Mill area looks fabulous and is going to be a wonderful addition to the farm.
