We were surprised to discover a feature article in the latest SIGNS/Canada magazine which showcased the Dene Drum we designed and fabricated in late 2020/early 2021. The article was written by the editor of the national trade magazine.
Arctic Circle Drum installed
The installation of the Dene drum on the Arctic Circle in the North West Territories is now complete. Our friends at Inkit Communications (our partner for this project) sent us pictures and video this afternoon. The drone footage was shot by Quentin Tatchinron. Drumming.
We received word this morning that the giant drum arrived safe and sound yesterday. It was unloaded from the truck and should have been assembled today. We still await photos. In the meantime we are working on small presentation models of the drum which will be sent off early next week. They are ready for the final glaze on the ‘gravel’ in the base and then a shot of mild acid to start the rust patina process.
