The weatherman called for a soggy Sunday, but between rain showers, Becke sourced a pickup load of shrubs, plants and flowers and began the process of putting them into their new home in the Under Hill Garden of the Hazelnut Inn. This private guest area is looking more lush and beautiful by the minute. Inside the suite, decorating continues, and it is simply breathtaking!!. There are only nineteen more sleeps until the Open House on June 7. Many guests are booking their first stay in the suites, with only weekdays available through to July. Painting begins!
Henry loved the sculpted embossed flames and rivet bands and could hardly wait to begin painting. It took a while to select some suitable colours from the vast range we have on hand but with a little research online and some gentle coaxing from gramps and dad the choices were made. Then the painting began. True to Henry’s style it didn’t take long to cover the cannon with a first coat. We set up a fan and turned up the heat to speed the process. Cannon sculpted
Although Henry was nowhere to be seen today, two people were available to mix sculpting epoxy. I decided to press on without Henry and finish sculpting the cannon. It turned out great, and now we are ready for the painting process to begin. Since it is a long weekend and the kids get a break from school by the weekend finish the cannon should be a lot more colourful. Stay tuned…
