The deadline for the 2016 Sign Challenge is still about a hundred days distant but in our shop we prefer to push at the start instead of doing all nighters at crunch time. Peter and I have been working hard on our entries at every opportunity. Yesterday, Peter finished his piece, the first of fourteen entrants to do so. I of course had to remind him that speed doesn't count for anything in this contest. It's all about quality. I'll finish my entry next week when the shop is nice and quiet.
Workshop down under?
My good friend Phil from Australia phoned today to wish our family a Merry Christmas. We made his acquaintance when he attended both of our workshops - two years in a row and then sent one of his crew this past year. Phil has been working hard on me to bring our workshops to Australia. He has the space, tools and all of the right materials on hand. We've had quite a few attendees in the past from down that way and lots of interest from others who couldn't quite swing the long journey. I promised Phil I would run the idea up the flagpole to see if there was enough interest to make the trip worthwhile? Any readers seriously interested in a three or four day workshop in Townsville, Queensland, Australia in August, 2016?
Only four months until the next workshops
As I look back on the last years some of my fondest moments are of the time spent in our workshops. I enjoy sharing the things we have learned through the years. The two Sculpting Magic Workshops we have planned for spring are filling fast. To find more information visit our workshop page or drop me an email at dan@imaginationcorporation.com
