With the warm temperatures, it was all hands on deck to do the final glaze on the giant skull and its base. The key is to work with the rock seam lines, with three of the crew slathering on the glaze while two other crew members do the judicial wiping of the glaze off to reveal the textures we carved in when we sculpted it. A wet line is carefully maintained, so there are no dark patches that result. With the entire crew painting through the day, we made great progress. We are now down to the small details, save for the water tower base, which will get its third, blended coat of paint tomorrow. Stay tuned for a magic reveal tomorrow…
