I received a text at 4:00 am informing me that my first flight of the day was delayed by 4 hours. This meant my connecting flight in Denver was no longer possible. Being the first weekend of Spring Break, a new connection flight was hard to come by. After frantically trying to rebook for about an hour on my phone, yielding no success, I decided to head to the airport first thing when I woke up. I arrived there at 8:00 am, turned in my rental car and headed to the airline help counter. Thankfully, they quickly solved my dilemma and found a connecting flight for me, but I now had a seven-hour wait in the relatively small San Antonio airport. There was only one thing to do…. and that was to open a temporary San Antonio design studio at the only table I could find with an electrical plug. (It was in the ceiling by a post) During my six-hour wait, I managed to dream up and illustrate several concepts for an exciting new project. The time flew by, and I was now a little ahead of schedule with my design work. The travelling adventure now continues…
