It was exciting to finally hoist the first Downey’s Farm sign face up onto the planter plinth and see just how big this piece is. With the tractor sitting on top, it will be just a hair under fifteen feet tall when it is fully assembled. Matt & Jay have tied the diamond lath to the bottom portions of the sign, and as soon as the second sign is fitted, I will complete the balance of the pencil rod armature on the upper areas of the plinth. Next week we’ll be sculpting the stone, which will ready this project for paint. Stay tuned…
