As the last dimensional sign face was being whittled on our trusty ShopSabre CNC machine, it was time to assemble the first set. I welded up an internal structure of square tubing and then glued and clamped the three layers of routed Precision Board high-density urethane together around it. It took all of our clamps to hold things tight while the glue fully cures overnight. Tomorrow I’ll finish the structural mounts and then do up the second sign. The Downey’s Farm sign is beginning to look a whole lot more complete. Stay tuned…
