MURAL PROJECT

Through the years I have been privileged to design and paint 118 historical murals across Canada and the United States.

I only work on one or two each year these days. In the last years the mural projects have been part of a group called WallDogs. Artists gather from across the USA, Canada and around the world, converging on a town to paint it’s history on the walls. A project leader is selected for each wall. They design the mural and lead a team of volunteers through it’s completion.

The town this year is Plymouth, Wisconsin. Over a period of three days the town will be transformed with the creation of 15 large outdoor murals. I have been honored to lead one of the murals. The video above shows how I designed the mural. It is a series of screen shots over a number of hours as the design came together. I worked from old photographs provided to me by the mural committee.

The WallDog meets are a wonderful chance to share and learn skills as well as spend some time together with new and old friends. As you can imagine these are high energy events not to be missed.
