Log armature complete
One of the fun features of Cap’n Elias’ Shipwreck Cove Mini Golf at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch is a twisted log with three swords stuck into it. I’ve been looking forward to building it with great anticipation. The structure is relatively simple compared to many, but it is still challenging. The three similar swords were also fun. Now we will attach the lath, then do the sculpting. Stay tuned…
Eight second distraction
Our good neighbour Gord, who lives next door, says he does not need to read our blog, for he has a front row seat with a live stream every day. This afternoon, he was a little frustrated as he tried to repair some old machinery that refused to run. I told him I had the perfect distraction that would undoubtedly cheer him up. The roping horse that will soon be on the way to the Kraay Family Farm in Lacombe, Alberta, needed a test rider. We had to boost Gord into the saddle as he doesn’t move as he did twenty years ago, but once he was on the horse, he got into the spirit of things. He managed a full eight-second ride. He also quickly got over the troublesome motor he was working on.
