With the sculpting complete, the base coats of paint are going on the Shipwreck Cove sign. By the end of the work week, we’ll hopefully be on to the gold leaf lettering. It is a good-sized sign measuring about four feet wide and almost six feet tall. Stay tuned…
Magical castle
Yesterday morning, there was a beautiful light as the sun came over the mountain, casting the Copper Crown in a wonderful golden glow. I couldn't resist briefly pausing my work to snap this photo. This building is pure magic and will soon be welcoming the first guests to a royal experience. Stay tuned…
Last of the carpentry
It was yet another landmark day. The last of the wallboards was fastened into place in the Copper Crown, and right behind them, a crew member was stapling on the diamond lath to prepare the kitchen/dining nook and secret room for sculpting. In the great room, painters were busy adding paint and glazes to the hand-sculpted rock work. The Copper Crown castle suite looks more finished every workday. Stay tuned…
