As the weather warms, the last weeks of May are the time to do our annual yard work and spruce everything up. Weeds are pulled, flower beds are turned, and the annuals are planted. Becke is in charge of the planning and sourcing of the landscaping materials. It is amazing how the properties are transformed as the lawns are edged, flowers and shrubs are planted, and everything from last year is trimmed back into shape. The last area to be planted is the garbage mountain. This mountain, full of overflowing planters, hides our industrial-sized dumpster. With Becke’s loving care, it is the best-looking dumpster without a doubt.
ShopSabre video
Our good friends at ShopSabre CNC have released the video we shot a few weeks ago. Jeremy did a great job capturing and editing all we talked about into a concise package. https://youtu.be/blXaNqbwco4?si=IK0RAcGyLTU3V7Xs
Last strokes
The Yarrow Days Parade day is now only six sleeps away, and Henry is anxious to finish things up. He especially wanted to colour the water gun. He and Juniper went through our vast collection of paint to pick the perfect weapon colours. They knew where the brushes were stashed, and Juniper insisted she do the honour of opening the gallon cans. My job was to do the cutting while the two kids filled in the rest. Henry volunteered to jump up on the hood and get the upper reaches rather than tipping the gun down where he could easily reach. With only six days until Parade day, it’s a good thing we are almost done.
