While Peter sculpted Eilias the pirate, I sculpted the little crab atop the tower sign. This little creature has been in my head for more than a decade. I did a concept for a project back then that didn’t proceed. Thankfully, good ideas don’t go bad, and this was the perfect opportunity to dust off an old idea and put it to use. He was fun to do and came together in a couple of hours. Now it is time to paint him up. Stay tuned…
A Pirate!
It was a very busy week in the shop as we finished sculpting the various features, soon to be bound for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch in Nebraska. The last feature to be sculpted was the stature of ‘Cap’n Elias the pirate’, who will stand proudly atop the castle tower entry to the Swing Ship, which will be installed next year. Now we are down to painting. Delivery is scheduled for the middle of July, so there is no mad rush to get things done. Stay tuned for progress…
Final countdown for the Under Hill
Every detail of the Under Hill suite of the Hazelnut Inn is now almost complete. The last curtains will be hung tomorrow to prepare the suite for the first guests. There are only nine more sleeps until the Open House…
