While we work to finish the UnderHill Suite in time for the open house on June 7th, we are also busy in the Copper Crown. The sculpting is now complete in the upper tower bedroom, and it looks amazing! Matt did the bulk of the artwork on this project thus far. Preliminary work is coming along quickly throughout this suite.
Load day!
For the second time in a week, it was time to back the big trucks down the driveway and load them up with features we’ve been working on for a long time. Today, two step-deck trailers were to be loaded, bound for NEB’s Fun World in Oshawa, Ontario. As always, we hired our good friend Greg of Wishlow Cranes to do the loading. Smooth and steady, the five giant pallets were quickly loaded and secured to the trailers with heavy straps. The ten sections of wall filled the trailers with inches to spare. We look forward to seeing pictures of the installed features soon!
Begin the cleanup
The minute the last tile was carefully placed, it was time to begin hauling all of the spare bits and tools out of the Under Hill Suite and begin the cleanup so the grout could be applied tomorrow. There are only a few small details to take care of, and then it will be time to call for a final inspection by the city for occupancy. This was the first time we could grab some pictures without stacks of boxes and scattered tools throughout the room. Suddenly, it didn’t feel like a construction project. Stay tuned as we start the decoration to make it as magical as the North Star Suite next door…
