Green roof

All of the greenery planted last year on the roof of the Under Hill Suite is filling in nicely as the temperatures warm up. These plants will soon be augmented by additional plants and flowers in the next few weeks, just in time for the open house on June 7th. We will also be finishing up all of the outside paint and doing a full pressure wash and clean. It is a busy time at the Hazelnut Inn!

Main tile laid

The tile in the main room of the Under Hill Suite is all laid, save for the small accent tile under the kitchen counter area and around the stove. The plumber installed the toilet and taps, taking things one step closer to the open house scheduled for June 7. We are getting more excited each day.

Grout!

The plumber is the next trade due to arrive to install the taps, sinks, and fixtures, which means the tile work needs to be finished. Julianne and Peter trowelled on the dark mud, and after it had set, they began sponging off the excess. It looks every bit as spectacular as we hoped it would. There are only forty-four days until the Yarrow Days open house!
