It was an ambitious day as the crew tackled sculpting the roof and upper wall section for the right portion of the building facade for NEB’s Fun World entrance. We had sculpted the wood beams yesterday, leaving only the aged plaster to do on this section today. The bulk of today’s task was the many wooden shingles on the roof. As is often the case, Keith mixed our custom concrete, Peter and Matt applied the heavy coats and then the whole crew worked shoulder to shoulder to accomplish the sculpting before it turned to stone.
Master Matt
Matt is a true master of sculpting awesome woodgrains. Today, he sculpted the two dormer windows on an upper section of the large building facade for NEB’s Fun World in Oshawa, Ontario. The result, as always looked fabulous! Tomorrow promises to be a big day as the entire crew tackles the shingles of this mansard roof. Stay tuned…
Shop reshuffled once again
It was time for another major shop reshuffle as completed projects were pulled out into the sunshine and new armatured moved inside for sculpting. There are currently six large wall sections shoehorned into the shop, filling it to the brim. One is down to the final paint, two are ready for sculpting and three are receiving the diamond lath. The multi-layered NEB’s Fun World sign looks fabulous in natural light!
