Jumping into the pool

Each day a few more items are stroked off the to-do list at the Hazelnut Inn. Today, Julianne laid the last tile on the floor of the North Star suite. Peter made great progress laying tile on the walls of the shower. He finished a little early, and with a little hustle, there was just enough time left to jump into the pool and hook up the plumbing for the water feature which we lifted into place last week. It was pure magic as the bubbling brook came to life. In only sixty days the North Star will be showcased with our open house.

Lolo's sign revealed

The Lolo’s Fudgery sign looked great when we finished in the shop. But it looked much better out in the daylight with an uncluttered background. I can hardly wait to see it when it is permanently placed in the fully landscaped planter in front of the fudge shop at Vala’s in Nebraska. I’ll bet it makes the delicious farm made fudge taste even better!

NEBE's castle finished

The Castle Golf entrance is the third major feature at the NEB’s mini golfs. The NEB’s team did an awesome job with the installation. I oversaw the assembly and installation of the fences. They did all of the brickwork and established the final concrete grades and new epoxy floors. The upper walkway of the castle hooks into the second-floor mezzanine and guests can walk out into the castle tower for a truly unique photo op.
