Matt was tasked with welding up the armature for the tree support of the Lola’s Fudgery sign. I’m working on the fridge bowl that will be fastened to the top. Once that is done we’ll attach the diamond lath to ready the tree to be sculpted. It won’t be long until the painting crew works their magic. Stay tuned for more…
Rivets galore
We love rivets and the waterwheel supports have plenty. Keith has now finished welding both structural steel stands which will flank the giant waterwheel. Next week we’ll begin fabricating the base structure which will hold up the twin supports. Then we can begin the waterwheel itself. Stay tuned for more of this exciting project…
First NEB's roof sculpted
It was the second big sculpting day in a row as our brilliant crew worked to finish the first roof section for the NEB’s entry facade. Each ‘wood’ shingle is individually sculpted. There were five of us sculpting the shingles and we continually rotated our positions to make the woodgrains look random. This is going to look spectacular when it is fully painted and glazed starting next week. Stay tuned…
