Pumpkin truck installed

Installing features in an existing farm is often challenging. Full-grown trees, winding roads and lots of fences make maneuvering a giant telehandler with a heavy feature precariously balanced on the forks difficult. The pumpkin truck had a heavy steel frame under it which will be buried to allow the truck to appear balanced on its rear wheels. George and his crew made quick work of the tricky task and then posed in the truck for the first group photo.

Most popular pumpkin in the world

We’ve always held our signs and photo ops to a very high standard. One test is that someone has to stop and take a picture before we finish installing the project. In our early days that was a tough hurdle as few carried a camera in their daily travels. These days it is much easier. The giant pumpkin photo op arrived at Vala’s this morning and created an instant stir among the staff on site. Within minutes of unloading, there were eager folks lining up for a picture. Our truck driver told me that he got limitless stares, waves and smiles along his way. He also told me that the folks on the farm weren’t the first to pose inside the pumpkin. Whenever he stopped for fuel along the way he had people begging to climb up on the deck and go inside the pumpkin for a selfie of their own. I believe this may well soon become the most popular pumpkin in the world!

Like brand new

Because most of our work is shipped to customers far, far away we don’t often see it installed and fully assembled. On occasion, I travel to do the basic installations but even then the areas around our piece are finished at a later date. Our friends at NEB’s Fun World have worked hard to finish off and add details which match perfectly in style and form. They are great at adding feature lighting to showcase and highlight the features. I was also pleased to see how well our pieces have held up. This seating area/decorative still has been well used in the last years but has held up to keep looking brand new.
