As each finished piece rolls from the shop the last thing we need to do is make sure it is bolted securely to the shipping frame and that the tie downs and lifting lugs are in securely in place. Often these last two items are custom plasma cut steel to perfectly suit the need and are welded on. Then the features are carefully staged in the order they will be loaded onto the truck.
Back in the saddle!
After my heart adventure, it’s been twelve weeks since I was released from the hospital. Initially, I had to go super slow (for me), starting with very short walks and adding a little distance each day. Janis & I now do an exercise walk together five or six times each week. When we started walking together I had to really work to keep up with Janis but her pace became an easy stroll in the last while for me. We’ll continue our daily walks but I felt ready for more. Today, was my three month doctor’s checkup. Thankfully, everything checked out perfectly, my vitals and tests were all good. The best news was that I also received my doctor’s blessing to jump on my bike once more, starting (relatively) slow and then working up to my normal pace and distance over the next weeks. My first ride was ten kilometres! It felt great to be back in the saddle once more.
Toothy smile
The giant pumpkin photo opportunity that is bound for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch is coming along nicely. The first glazes are now complete. He is the perfect combination of happy and scary. I can hardly wait to get it out of the shop where I can get back far enough to get a great picture. Stay tuned…
