We made great progress on Vala’s pumpkin truck this week! The bulk of the truck is now welded up save for the pumpkin armature and the headlights. We’ll finish that off next week readying this for paint. Even though the welds were still warm Keith took it on its first test ride at quitting time yesterday.
Troll bridge structure
It was a busy week in the shop as we laboured to finish up the structural steel for the Secret Garden Golf at Castle Fun Park. It often is a challenge when guests want to peek into the mini golf to get a glimpse of the facility. We designed a solution for this golf by putting a raised viewing area which guests will be able to access from a public area near the facility entrance. There will be a bridge to this viewing area and it of course will be guarded by a troll. Stay tuned as we bring this feature to reality…
Day 2 - Pumpkin truck
Today there were plenty of pieces cut, formed and welded into place on Vala’s pumpkin truck. It’s starting to look like a truck. Tomorrow, I’ll fabricate the front fenders and the beginnings of the seat riser and truck bed. Lastly will be the giant pumpkin on the back. Stay tuned…
