We’ve begun the first feature bound for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch. It will be a flatbed truck with a giant pumpkin on the back. In fact the pumpkin is so heavy the front wheels of the truck will be off the ground. This is going to be a fun photo op without a doubt!
Building a monster
The galvanized mesh application on the giant mushroom castle base is nearing completion and the scale of the piece is now fully evident. This section measures ten feet tall and twenty-five feet wide. Work continues on the structures for the other remaining pieces which will be largely completed this coming week. When these are done we’ll call our engineer for an inspection and then we can begin covering things up with the theme work. Stay tuned…
Moth's style won the day!
Each of the parade floats in the Yarrow Days Parade required a ‘runner’ to lead the float. This person made sure the spectators were clear of the display for safety reasons. Moth (our oldest grandchild) again volunteered to lead our procession and as always did it with a great deal of style and flair.
