Yarrow Days parade day!

After months of hard work and seemingly an endless wait today it was at long last time for Yarrow Days parade. The weather was absolutely perfect! Henry took great delight in packing the little dino car full of boxes of candy which he would throw to kids along the parade route. Before we left the driveway he picked out a personal stash which he tucked into the pockets under the dash. Henry was super excited to accept a first-place award for our efforts. Then it was time to head down the long streets of Yarrow which were lined with thousands of cheering people. Moth had on their colourful moth costume and led the way for Henry and me. Being a small town, many friends and acquaintances called out encouragement and appreciation as they admired Henry’s dino car. It was a truly memorable and exciting day!

Castle maze

One of the features for the Castle Fun Park golf is a small maze with a dragon tower in the center. The armatures for the tall walls that will be around the tower are currently in construction in the shop. Keith is welding the structural steel and Matt and Krysia are welding the pencil rod. It is Krysia’s first time welding and she is doing fabulous! Learning to weld has been on her wish list for some time. By tomorrow this section will be ready for lath. A similar large piece behind this one is coming along nicely as well. Stay tuned…
