Giant base tower

Yesterday, the crew tackled the sculpting of the giant base tower of the NEB’s castle. It was an ambitious challenge to accomplish in one shift. By the end of the day, the stone tower was looking fabulous! This afternoon we gently lifted the giant piece out into the parking lot to cure until next week when we’ll move it back in to get its paint. In the meantime, there’s a little more room in the shop to work on other pieces.

Giant bridge structure

Keith and Peter have been very busy welding together the largest structural piece for the NEB’s Fun World castle. It will form the framework for the ‘stone’ bridge that will link the mezzanine floor and towers. This structure will eventually be hidden behind the theme work. With the structure now complete is is time to begin the pencil rod form which will soon be covered with the diamond lath and then the sculpted concrete most likely next week.
