Christmas is a wonderful time we enjoy with family. Through the year our traditions have gradually changed as our family grows and new members are added. Christmas day was relatively quiet this year with only six at the dinner table this evening (tomorrow will be 20) but we still had plenty of laughs. Christmas crackers with the silly hat and small prizes is one tradition we still enjoy. Phoebe ‘won’ a lovely turquoise crown and moustache which she graciously modelled for us. Others were less eager for their picture to be taken with their prizes. Merry Christmas to all!!
Christmas spirit.
Christmas is now upon us and everyone is busy with last minute preparations. Since Phoebe is a ‘poor starving artist’ she is doing many drawings to present to those she loves. We happily accept these gifts of her creativity. Juniper of course is also very busy doing fine pieces of artwork of her own. I’m looking forward to unwrapping the presents tomorrow!
Merry Christmas to all!
Little helper
As the holidays quickly approach I am busy doing the last of large series of drawings for a project. Juniper decided it would definitely speed things up i she helped me. She has a lot of experience with crayons and brushes but this was her first time using the digital tools. I knew well (from previous experience with other kids) to first save my work and then put a new transparent layer over my original before letting Juniper work her magic. It didn’t take long to transform the picture into a looser more colourful version and Juniper declared it perfect. Grampa had to agree.
