It is a wonderful thing to be able to play an important role in designing and building fun places for families to enjoy. Enjoying these special places with our own family is even better. Juniper has been itching to show grandma and grampa how brave she is by riding the Runaway Train Roller Coaster and other attractions up at Cultus Lake Adventure Park. This past weekend we went up to experience it for ourselves. We had a great time and Juniper is indeed very, very brave!
Special delivery
My Sign Invitational piece has been gathering dust for much of our busy summer but with a spell of cool weather here for the weekend I found time to do a little work. I did a little work on the back of the Timekeeper's factory. I fastened the 1/8" plywood panels on the building, cut and mounted the windows and applied a little sculpt to roughly shape the back of the building. While I worked on that the CNC router was working in the backroom cutting out the delivery vehicle. After supper I added the sculpt to the front and one side of the cute little truck. It's looking pretty cool already! With the truck well underway I can now finalize the height of the loading dock and begin the detail work on the back of the building.
Easier than ever!
We've made plenty of castle tower roofs through the years. In the old days we did the math by hand, drew out the lines on a master template, cut, traced and then cut out the many pieces with a jigsaw. These days we build the files on our computer, send them to the cnc router and then let the computerized machine do the work for perfect results every time. It's a whole lot faster too. Assembly is a lot easier with everything lining up perfectly. The first of the Hazelnut Inn castle turret tower roofs is well under way and looking great!.
