The next challenge

I am currently in Las Vegas at the International Sign Association EXPO for the 2017 Sign Invitational contest. It was setup day today. The entries are once again varied and exceptional this year. The theme is magic. I'll be posting some pictures tomorrow. This evening we gathered and inevitably the talk was about what was next, specifically the theme for next year's challenge. After much discussion the theme of 'MACHINE' was settled on. The build envelope remains the same - two feet by two feet and six feet tall. There's lots of room for creativity in that space. My brain is already racing with lots of ideas and I'll be sharing some of them here in coming days. To all of my creative friends... the CHALLENGE is on for 2018.

Sail way to your dreams

The fourth suite in the planned inn is very exciting. It will be the explorer themed suite. Imagine sleeping in a king sized bed perched in the captains quarters of an ancient sailing ship. We'll craft the stern of the ship, complete with mast and furled square rig sail. We'll hoist it into place for that special room. The balance of the suite and private garden will be every bit as special and chalk full of fun artifacts from our character's world travels.

Inventions and innovations abound

The four themed inns we are planning will each be about six hundred square feet with a similar sized private garden adjoining each suite. One of the planned suites will feature an inventor theme. The sleeping area will be housed in the telescope room with many other wondrous inventions featured throughout. The differently themed areas will be cleverly intertwined and yet totally private. While not at all large, it will be one of the most unique hotel properties in all the world.
