It was another busy day in the shop. Fourteen pieces received their coat of fibreglass reinforced concrete and then were sculpted to look like stone arches and heavy wooden beams. The result was magic! It also filled the shop from end to end with another batch of pieces which will soon be ready to paint.
Crown and Pin Pub sign finished
The Crown & Pin sign is now finished. The sign is double sided with a large bowling pin mounted at an angle through the golden crown in the centre. The bracket is an integral part of the sign. Gold and red dominate the design, save for the white bowling pin. The sign is gently aged with a dark brown glaze.
Gold and silver bling!
There's nothing nearly as bright as real gold. Today, Becke applied 23K gold leaf to the the lettering of the Toad Stool Elixir sign. It sparkles magnificently! Jenessa finished applying the last of the silver metallic paint to the lettering of the Moon Wine sign to finish that one off. The blends in this sign are magnificent! That finishes off both too these signs with lots of BLING!
