After many, many months of waiting, Janis & I will finally get to see the new Star Wars movie tomorrow. I've watched and enjoyed them all through the last decades, even the prequels, much to the chagrin of those I know. We even spent some evenings in the last months re-watching them on DVD to get ready for the new one. The movie was far too popular for us to get decent seats when it was first released. Now that Christmas celebrations are behind us it is time to watch the movie we've been looking forward to for a long time!
Mason the mechanic
For many years I made my living doing pen and ink drawings, at one time showing my artwork in forty galleries. I drew many pieces of art in those days, my favourite being the ones of our own kids as they grew up. I still draw regularly but most often the artwork is for the 3D projects we have in progress. Once in a while I'll do one of a young member of our family. Mason and his mom lived in our house for two years and last summer I caught a good photo of him on the day he got his new tricycle. He was more interested in figuring out how it worked than actually riding it. For Christmas I did this little drawing for his mom Sabrina. It's signed guncle dan which stands for great uncle.
Happy holidays!
At our house the holidays are a time for family and relaxation. The quiet moments are also a time of reflection, remembering the exciting times of the year past and looking forward to the future. We have so very much to be thankful for and so many good things to look forward to down the road!
As I sat in my recliner this afternoon I watched the setting sun reflect off the mountain. It made me extra thankful for the great place we get to live and work, so very close to family. Life is good!
