The shop is quiet while our employees enjoy time with their families over Christmas and through the New Year. This morning we woke up to a fresh snowfall which made it feel like Christmas. Our kids, now grown, may just get their first white Christmas! Merry Christmas all!
Almost ready to go to launch
We are very excited to see the onsite construction of Scallywag Bay Adventure Park in Trinidad now under full steam. This means that we need to get the last two containers of features ready to ship. One of the last last large features we are building is the food boat which will be the place to get ice cream treats and soft drinks. When it needs moving a skipjack will do the trick so we built some fork pockets into the heavy frame. Like most of the features it is made with a heavy duty welded steel frame and a sculpted concrete skin. We are almost ready to go to launch.
Peter finishes first
The deadline for the 2016 Sign Challenge is still about a hundred days distant but in our shop we prefer to push at the start instead of doing all nighters at crunch time. Peter and I have been working hard on our entries at every opportunity. Yesterday, Peter finished his piece, the first of fourteen entrants to do so. I of course had to remind him that speed doesn't count for anything in this contest. It's all about quality. I'll finish my entry next week when the shop is nice and quiet.
