It is always a great day when we can start a new project in the studio. We referenced the concept sketch as we worked, which had no measurements. Matt studied the concept drawing for the Howl at the Moon Stage sign for Vala’s Pumpkin Patch and then began cutting various lengths of steel tubing for the structure. Angles and lengths were largely determined by eye without the aid of protractors or tape measures, as is our style. Tomorrow, Matt will finish welding the structure, fasten the sign, and start bending and fitting the pencil-rod armature. Stay tuned…
