Even after thousands of sign projects, it is always amazing to me how much a few minutes with a brush and some paint will change a sculpture and instantly start to bring it to life. The little sculpted piece now has a light blue primer and a first base coat of blended metallic on the pirate dinosaur. In my spare minutes over the next few days, I’ll add more colours and then glazes to the piece to further enhance the details. The ‘X’ will receive a silver gild and the letters ‘Marks the Spot’ will be 23K gold when I am done. This kind of piece is a whole lot of fun to do. Stay tuned…
