Into the paint!

With only four short weeks left to prepare for the Yarrow Days Parade, it was time to kick things into gear to finish Henry’s plane. With the crew’s help, we finished applying the sculpting epoxy on Friday. Peter, Juniper and Henry came over on Saturday and today (Sunday) to help apply the Bondo and prep the plane for paint. That process was quick, and it wasn’t long until everyone was applying the base coat of silver paint. Henry, of course, had to sit in the cockpit frequently to make sure it was all working as it should. Henry is now dreaming up the stripe package to make it exceptional. We’ve ordered a battery pack and an inverter to power the smoke machine and two walkie-talkies so Henry and I can stay in communication along the parade route. Henry is also busy working on code phases to ensure only we know the lingo we use during the event. He's also insisting we run a series of test flights, including the smoke show, to confirm everything is in order. We will definitely be ready for the fun on the morning of Saturday, June 6th. Stay tuned…
