The crew tackled the sculpting of the giant tire horse head and tail today. The pieces weren’t overly large compared to many we do in our shop, but because of the many upside-down areas and the tight quarters, this was a challenging project. The morning was spent skillfully troweling on the fibreglass-reinforced-concrete. After the lunch break, the carving began to add the tire treads and other details. Tomorrow, the crew will tackle the giant tire entrance that forms the body of the horse. Stay tuned…
