After many weeks of measuring, cutting, fitting and installing ceramic tiles in the Copper Crown Suite of the Hazelnut Inn, Matt announced this afternoon that he had finally laid the last full-sized tile in the secret room of the castle. He has about a dozen cut tiles left to wrap things up totally. This is a massive and impressive accomplishment! Since the edges of the ‘stone’ room were edged with a row of small cut tiles, which carefully follow the undulations of the wall and most of the tiles were laid on the diagonal (or not), there were more cuts than whole tiles throughout the project. Once the last few tiles are laid, there will be a final dep clean before the crew does the dark grout. It is going to look fabulous! Stay tuned…
