It is always an honour to be named as a finalist in a national competition like the BOCSIes, which stands for Best of the Canadian Sign Industry annual awards. We’ve been pleased to be honoured many times through the years and have a good-sized shelf of shiny awards we proudly display. There are several categories in the competition, including sign systems, a project with at least three signs. Two of our projects have been judged as finalists in this category this year… NEB’s Fun World and the Under Hill. The winner is to be announced at a gala dinner in Niagara Falls. After many years of wanting to attend, I decided to actually travel back east this year.
I travelled much of today, starting at 2:00 am this morning and to make the most of the trip will drop in on three clients in the area before the big event on Thursday. I visited NEB’s Fun World late this afternoon to see the entire entrance wall installed and witness all of the hard work that Tom, Jeff and their crew have done. The facility looks better each time I visit! They did a fabulous job installing the 100-feet-long x 35-feet-high entrance facade.
Tonight I’m catching up on a bit of sleep before visiting two of our pumpkin farm customers before the show/gala on Thursday. Stay tuned for the results…
