Eager helper

Juniper came for supper and a sleepover today. She was eager to help grampa with the sculpting and painting of the toad sign. As always, she asked endless questions during our labour, learning not just the hows but also the whys of what we do. We worked for about an hour mixing the epoxy and pushing it onto the sculpture. Then came the fun part of adding toad’s skin texture using crumpled tin foil. Lastly, we made scores of little balls of sculpting epoxy and gently pressed them onto the textured surface to make warts. With the sculpting complete, we did some painting until it was time to head into the house for the night. Juniper is a pleasure to work with as she listens carefully to the instructions and is eager to do things perfectly. I appreciate her help!
