With the center plinth now fully painted, today was the day for the permanent mounting of the sign faces. We gingerly hoisted them into position using the forklift and then bolted them securely in place to the brackets we had built into the structure of the plinth. They looked great! Then Jay started on the blend coat of paint on the planter surrounding it. Tomorrow he’ll do one last coat of blend to ready the stonework for the final two glazes. By week’s end, this section of the sign will be complete. Stay tuned…
