To properly tell the unique story of the Under Hill suite at the Hazelnut Inn we are incorporating as much magic as we can possibly conjure. A myriad of textures and materials will be incorporated, most hand-sculpted by our talented and skilled crew. The giant boulders and tangle of roots poking out of the dirt roof will be absolutely amazing but it won’t stop there. Plasterwork and heavy timber wainscotting will form the lower reaches of the undulating walls. Today, Peter is sculpting the brickwork of the fireplace which will be topped with a heavy, arched timber mantle. We’ll hand-craft the potbelly stove that will be nestled inside the opening.
