Today, Matt kept very busy cutting heavy steel tubing, doing his best to stay just ahead of me as I welded the many pieces together. This structure is the start of the large entry arch of the Jade City Golf. The arch will be built in three pieces to a total of about eighteen and a half feet tall. Tomorrow, I’ll add the balance of the bracing and some sub structure to the frame. Once that work is complete we’ll lift the top section down before adding more upper sections to the structure. Next week we’ll add the pencil rod armature and all of the detail that entails. It’s going to be a very dramatic entry to the golf!!
