Almost about seven years ago we created an elaborate entrance sign and street number system for a beautiful subdivision called Oyama. Each property sign featured classic Japanese characters of positive attributes and their meanings as well as their street number. Recently we got a call from one of the residents to do up a replacement sign as theirs had gone missing. It took some digging to come up with photos of the old project. I also took a drive out to the subdivision to gather measurements and colour information. The gold leafed signs we did were all holding up extremely well. Today we routed the replacement and in the next few days will add the paint and gold leaf and then install it in it's rightful place. It was fun to go back to see a project long forgotten.
