When we got the phone call that our pieces had just come out of the zinc vat at Silver City I quickly hooked the trailer to the Jeep and headed into the city to pick them up. Adam and his crew did a great job. The normally dull black welded steel frames were a very bright silver.

We gave the sections of the frame that will remain exposed a quick sandblast (to help our glazes and paints stick better) and then pushed the heavy pieces into the shop to begin work on the next phase. of the project Galvanized lath will be tied onto the frames with specially sourced galvanized tie wire. Then early next week we'll begin the usual sculpting process to create some real magic!
