BUZZING AROUND FOR ONE MORE DAY

We get to do so many really fun projects. Each is different from the last or anything previous. Each one challenges us to learn new things, to do things in whole new ways. It sure beats working.

Today we put the finishing touches to a project that has been in progress since before Christmas. Our client has a glass studio. Her husband keeps bees. They have a studio together. The challenge for me was to incorporate both diverse ideas in a single sign.

My clients likes the bee hive idea and the honey-comb works well with that. Translucent, warm colored lexan plays well behind the layered, dimensional lettering. The curved ‘wood’ support post flows nicely. Bees flying around the sign was the finishing touch.

The sign was declared finished today... until we took a second look. Second thoughts decreed one more bee needed to be added to the back side of the sign delaying delivery by one more day.
