I’ve always loved hot rods. I’ve even started building a couple years ago but found other things in life were far more important and pressing, meaning my project cars always had to take a backseat. Those projects were never finished and I have no regrets. Just the same, whenever a nice hot rod drives by it always gets a second look.

For my next CHALLENGE 2010 project I decided to do a HOT ROD sign. Since we are scheduled to have a booth in an upcoming regional car show, the need for suitable eye candy made the project pressing and it moved to the top of my project list. As always the sign started with a quick sketch, done while watching TV on the comfy couch of course.
