The first concept drawings for this project were done almost two years ago. Then, as always it had to go through various steps including zoning, permitting and financing. When it was finally time to actually build it I knew exactly what I was going to do. I certainly had enough time to think about it.

I decided to chronicle each step of the project and also celebrate each stage with a test ride- just for fun. It was also necessary to get things right for we work to a visual standard without much use of detailed plans or measuring instruments. This is after all a cartoon world we are building.

The car took rapid shape, first with structural steel and then with the armature and sculpting medium. As you can probably tell I enjoy the entire process.
