LAST BITS.

Many of our projects are complex and massive.  From the very first meetings, sketches and drawings to the final installations it can often stretch out over many months and even years.

Yesterday I installed the last bunch of signs for the MultiCam project. The job was started almost two years ago. In the between time we had many meetings, discussions and labored many hundreds of hours. Yesterday’s trip to the project was a quiet, personal celebration of the completion. The official celebration, grand opening celebration and open house will take place in February.

room signs

As I went from rook to room installing the signs I enjoyed  seeing for real what was only an idea two years ago. What I saw made me smile. It was just like I had imagined back when we started - only much better.

Like so many projects before  it I could visualize things clearly and in color. The details were a little fuzzy in places, not yet all worked out, but the feeling and look I wanted to achieve was clear as could be. The end result did not disappoint.

Our client, Sean Lawlor, of MultiCam Western Canada, proved to be one of our best. He left me in charge for the most part, and let us plus the project all the way through. He worked hard to facilitate our tasks and yet took pains to not interfere in the creative process. The builder, Jonathan Zerke of Sonbuilt Custom Homes did the same. The end result is the proof of that trust.

The project was extremely challenging and yet fun all the way through. It was a wonderful opportunity to to combine theme work with branding and take it to the extreme, yet keep things professional and memorable.

Thanks to Sean and all the team for making it possible!
