It’s not unusual for a project in our shop to last for many months from the first artist’s concepts through to completion. One of our current projects is no exception. The first drawings were done in mid - 2009. Hiccups and delays can be brought on for any number of reasons, pretty much all out of our area of control. I’ve long learned it’s best not to sweat the small stuff. Instead we concentrate on the things we can do, working steadily towards the successful completion of the project. We are still a few weeks from wrapping it up completely but our client has moved in and the building is functioning well. We polished off one of the most important areas today - the reception and lobby.
With the last of the pieces in place it all comes together nicely. The colors fit well together, everything fits. There is no doubt you have arrived at MultiCam as you enter the door. It’s obvious a place that features robotic machines too. Each piece of the decor showcases the wonderful and imaginative pieces possible with one of these amazing machines. Every piece was created with the help of our client’s CNC technology.
The details done on the machines include the wainscoting,, trim, cabinetry, desk components, stair components, and decorative elements. Added up it is a display like none other. Best of all this is but one room of many we are working on for this project. In the next weeks I’ll be showing more pictures of other areas of the job as we finish them up. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time while I’ve supposed to have been working. :)
